Nüwa Connect Street Art Gallery with Street Kids
Blue Dragon Children's Foundation based in Hanoi have received a fantastic boost to their work with street kids and vulnerable young adults. Singapore's 'Addicted Gallery', are helping the charity (in partnership with United World College of SEA, and Nüwa), to bring a group of Blue Dragon kids on a positively life-changing trip to Singapore, where they will partake in a series of street art workshops with Singapore's very own RSCLS.
The trip and the workshops will be a positive challenge for the kids - many of whom are living in extreme poverty, are socially excluded from society, or have suffered abuse. Blue Dragon are helping these children and young people rebuild their lives.
The street art workshop will help the kids grow in confidence, teach them art skills, foster peer-support between the kids, and also self-expression; and most importantly give them a voice.
"We all deserve the right to be recognised as individuals and to be respected - these kids have had that taken away from them in the past - and projects like this go a little way to giving that back to them." says Nüwa Founder Elaine.
